How we can help

Tires for EVs and hybrids
Electric vehicles are heavier than gas cars and deliver their power instantly, so their tires tend to wear faster. We sell, mount and balance tires suited to your vehicle, including EV-rated tires, handle seasonal changeovers and rotations, and set the pressure your vehicle specifies, which also helps your range.
Brakes on EVs and hybrids
Regenerative braking does much of the stopping, so pads last longer, but the brakes get used less. Calipers and slides can seize and rotors can rust, especially with road salt in winter. We inspect, clean and lubricate the brakes and replace pads, rotors and brake fluid when they need it.
Suspension on EVs and hybrids
The weight of the battery puts extra load on shocks, struts, control arms and bushings. We inspect the suspension and steering for wear and play, replace worn parts and set the wheel alignment afterward, so the vehicle rides smoothly and the tires wear evenly.

Do you service electric and hybrid vehicles?

Yes. We service the suspension, brakes and tires on electric and hybrid vehicles of all makes. We don't work on high-voltage batteries, electric motors or charging systems; for those, we recommend your dealer.

Do EVs need special tires?

Not always, but EV-rated tires are built for the extra weight and instant torque, and are often quieter and better for range. We can recommend tires that suit your vehicle and how you drive.

Why do my EV's tires wear out faster?

EVs are heavier than similar gas cars, and their instant power is hard on the tread. Keeping the tires at the right pressure and rotating them regularly helps them last longer.

Do EV brakes need servicing if the pads barely wear?

Yes. Because regenerative braking does much of the work, calipers and slides can seize and rotors can rust from lack of use, especially in winter. A yearly brake inspection and clean keeps them working properly.

Can you do a seasonal tire changeover on my EV or hybrid?

Yes. We swap winter and summer tires on electric and hybrid vehicles just as we do on any other vehicle, and set the pressures your vehicle specifies.
